Black Icez

Hello, my name is Ken Burns also known as Black Icez in the East bay Biker world. Born and raised in Berkeley, Ca; I started working in the family business at an early age of 10 yrs old, which gave me a good foundation and work ethic. My wonderful parents bought me my first motorcycle for my 12th birthday. It was a Yamaha 125cc Enduro. Two years later, I got a Yamaha yz 250 cc dirt bike and started racing on the dirt bike race circuit all over northern California. After high school I went off to college, San Jose State University to study criminal justice. I worked in law enforcement for a few years until I changed careers.

I became an operating engineer heavy equipment/crane operator. I have worked on large projects all over northern California including all the big bay area bridges, power plants and just about most large area projects. I now work as a union official. For my 39th birthday, I bought myself a 2003 road king anniversary edition and I just love it. I began meeting different people in various clubs and became more involved in the 'black' biker motorcycling world and road around with different clubs and attended several events. Because of my involvement with the motorcycle world, I have had some of the most memorable times of my life.

One night I was surfing the web/internet and found the Buffalo Soldiers East Bay Chapter. I met with all of the brothers and we just clicked from the beginning. I learned some history from the guys and road around with them for a few months. From that point, I knew I wanted to become a Buffalo Soldier East Bay Member. I felt the love and brotherhood was real. I'm proud to be a member of the Buffalo Soldier East Bay Chapter. Black Icez
